We have been buying appliances from Coast for many years. We have always dealt with Jessica Cheng because of the great service we receive. Jessica is very knowledgeable about all the products and has provided us with great recommendations when we were uncertain about brand and/or functions. Jessica is also very responsive with follow-up phone calls and emails when we have questions and takes the time to help us out when we are at the store. We renovated our kitchen in the summer and Warren Cheng helped us at the Vancouver store. We bought (eventually) a new dishwasher and fridge, but we really put Warren through his paces with our questions. He was fantastic! He was very patient and professional with us. We were very satisfied with the price and the service, not to mention the quality of our new appliances. Delivery was on time with good communication. I highly recommend both Warren Cheng and Coast Appliances.

Our Electrolux Icon freezer broke down while our family was on vacation. Was introduced to Warren through a mutual friend and was able to find a replacement a lot quicker than we expected. Delivery was quick and simple. It wasn’t until later on in the evening that I realized that I didn’t remove a bracket/riser from the old freezer, which was taken away for recycling. In a panic, I called Warren and the next morning, he was able to track down the old freezer and have the hardware removed just before they were about to recycle. Extremely satisfied with the experience from beginning to end.

Bought a fridge in July got delivered by 2 guys later than window given. The excuse was that they hit 3 stampede breakfasts along the way! Damaged my floor in the process and refused to fix the damage. Offered to refund the delivery charge. I have a marble floor and delivery charge is not even close to covering the cost. Tried communicating with the company they won’t even answer an email I guess I will let the lawyer deal with that and let people know to be careful.

I thought the service was excellent.I love my new refrigerator! My only issue is that I found it hard to hear the salesperson I was speaking to because there were several salespeople of Asian decent who were speaking loudly in Chinese among themselves. I find this both rude and disruptive.I thought the salesperson who helped me was very patient, courteous and gave me all the information I needed.I will definitely use Coast Wholesale Appliance again!

I recently purchased a compact dishwasher from Coast Appliances. The pricing was great. We got a high end washer for the same price as a low end brand elsewhere. The service was wonderful.I also purchased a refrigerator and a full-sized dishwasher about 4 years ago from the same store. If you're looking for new appliances, head out to Coast as you'll find things much cheaper than if you go to your Big Box shop and mainstream provider (eg. Best Buy, etc.)It's a bit of a hike to get to, but they're flexible and work to get you a great deal. Check out their set of appliances that are reduced price because of small nicks or damage. They're still fully functioning but heavily discounted if you're looking to help the ol' wallet out.

I bought all my appliances from Coast Appliances after checking a number of other stores. Coast had the biggest selection and very importantly, they had floor models to see and touch. I worked with Debbie Fortt who has an exceptional knowledge and ability to suggest best options that would work for me. She put together great packages and followed my account from the moment of ordering to delivery to completing the service. Even when we encountered a problem with a few items after the delivery, Debbie and her manager went all the way and replaced these items at their cost. It was an unbelievable service and they have a very happy customer who will always refer people to their store.

We bought an oven here 5 months ago. It came with a shattered door. The sales associate responsible for our product is the most USELESS person on the planet. First, he doesn't seem to know what to do or who to talk to and has given us one false information after another. He doesn't follow through. He lies. He doesn't have any concrete course of action. He's taken my husband for a ride, saying that the manager is on it, or that they will give us a new oven. We have not heard anything from the manager or the other personnel he referred to. Five months later, still no concrete plan. If you're the manager of the Vancouver branch, you need to talk to your sales associates on how to properly provide "customer care." Or fire the ones that don't know how to do it because they're giving your company a really bad reputation. Five months later and we're still dealing with your poor customer service... and we still DO NOT have an oven. How can you people sleep at night, knowing you've scammed your customers?EDIT (March 13, IN RESPONSE TO OWNER MESSAGE BELOW): I have forwarded your message below to the email address you provided. This broken oven is STILL sitting in our living room, in its original box, waiting for your staff to address the issue. All the pictures we've taken in the last 5 months in our living room (yes, including Christmas and New Year) have this darn box in them. This horrible customer service is unimaginable in the developed world. In the meantime, you should really re-train your staff. They don't know what they're doing. They dodge the bullet and pass the buck to whoever they can name.EDIT (March 31) So, the company finally replaced our oven after more than 5 months of back and forth. Just some feedback: 1) Don't wait until an angry customer writes a bad review before you do something about it. 2) It isn't the customer's responsibility to chase the company for answers. You need to update us on what is going on and don't leave us hanging or have us contact you over and over again only to find out that so-so manager isn't working that day, or that so-so manager hasn't heard about the issue, etc. 3) Make sure you have proper procedures on how to deal with issues. You are selling appliances that cost thousands. When an issue arises, there should be some protocol that helps resolve them. It baffles me that nobody actually knew what to do, how to proceed and how to follow through! I'm sure you've encountered many issues in the past, being a company that has been in existence for a while. Lastly, 4) The so-called associate harassed my husband and called him multiple times in the course of a couple of days to take down this review - to the point that we actually had to call the cops on him. Note: Understand how public reviews on companies and their representatives work. Don't take it personally. Maybe next time, you should do a better job since you're public-facing!

UPDATE 2: called Fisher Paykel in early January to follow up. They said someone would call me back. That was about a month ago. No response. I have 3 friends redoing their kitchens and all have bought their appliances elsewhere because of my experience.UPDATE: About a week after I posted this review I received a response from Coast appliance saying they would look into the issue and get back to me. I haven’t heard a single word from them since. That was almost 2 months ago. I think their response was more for the benefit of other readers. It’s obvious they have no intention of addressing this issue.ORIGINAL POSTThe mark of a good retailer is based on how well they deal with problems. In the case of Coast appliances they have failed miserably.In May, I bought an appliance package that included Fisher Paykel fridge, induction range, and two drawer dishwasher. While the fridge and stove work fine, I’ve had nothing but problems with the dishwasher. Dishes were coming out dirty and had to be washed by hand. To be completely transparent, at first I didn’t think my dinnerware would fit in the dishwasher, but I was able to resolve that issue.But the dishes are still really dirty and I’ve been trying to deal with Coast for over 5 months. During that time Coast has:1. LIED. I contacted my sales rep at Coast appliance and was told by her that they had a no return policy and I was stuck with it. I contacted Fisher Paykel directly who advised me that this was not the agreement they had with Coast. Then I contacted Ryan Dun, the sales manager at the Main Street location, told him about these conversations and he said, yes of course they could replace it but first they needed to ensure that it wasn’t an installation issue. 2. PROVIDED CONFLICTING DIRECTIONS: Coast sent someone from Totem to check the installation and I was given directions of changes that needed to be made. The guy even drew a circle in my cupboard where a new hole had to be drilled to re-position the drainage hoses. Those changes were made and there was no improvement in cleaning. After much back-and-forth, Ryan comes out to my house with a plumbing expert. The plumber tells me I have to make a bunch of different changes to the installation as well as to the plumbing itself. He even drew a picture of what needed to be done. I make all the changes exactly as requested and still no improvement in cleaning. At this point the drainage hose has been positioned and repositioned three times, three holes have been drilled into my new cabinetry, and the brand new plumbing was replaced - all done in order to comply with their conflicting directions.3. RENEGED ON A VERBAL COMMITMENT: I asked Ryan if I make the changes requested by his expert plumber and still have no improvement will Coast replace the dishwasher. He said yes. I asked him this repeatedly, and each time he said yes. But Ryan now tells me that I was supposed to follow FP Installation instructions and sent me a version of the instructions I had never seen before and which differ to some degree with Fisher Paykel’s own instructions on their website. Then he tells me that the waterline is an issue. This is the first time anyone mentioned an issue with the water line. Why didn’t his ‘expert’ mention the waterline when he was here?This has been dragging on for five months. I believe that Coast appliance is being purposely obstructive in order to avoid taking responsibility for what is obviously a faulty appliance. That opinion is validated by the experience of so many other people who posted Google reviews. Did you notice that there are almost as many 1 star reviews of Coast as there are 5 star reviews? My recommendation to everyone is stay away from Coast. They are OK with basic service, but heaven help you if you have a problem.

For semi the entrance is from kent ave . There are two gates to enter. Docks are right front of if . Just be careful by backing up , cause the dock are deep & ur landing gear might hit the ground. They opens around 7:30. Mostly by appointment but if they free , they might get u unload. The are nice & very quick to unload ur load.

I wanted to share this with you and your staff, and hopefully other prospects and customers. I ordered a fridge online last Thursday from the Abbotsford store (a black basic Whirlpool that was on sale) and it was to be delivered on Saturday. I received a phone call from your customer service that the delivery crew noticed this fridge was damage and could not be sold to me. The problem was that there were no other fridges in black and of the same brand and size, so I was going to have to wait for options. This was frustrating to say the least, but within 10 minutes after hanging up with your CS person, I received a phone call from one of your team, offering me a similar fridge (different brand) but for the same price and original delivery date. For me the brand did not matter so I was happy. What really impressed me was the way your team handled my customer experience. From your CS, and front counter staff (Vancouver store) to your sales team (Abby store) and your delivery crew (Rick and his team were exceptional) I was impressed and very satisfied. Thank you all. I had an appliance emergency over the long weekend and I was unsure if I had purchased my appliance with coast appliances or another company. Coast was the first place I had called which in fact was the wrong company however the young lady who picked up the phone when I called was by my side all weekend really representing customer care. She searched endlessly to find the information we needed and kept me informed daily. Everything has worked out now and I have traced the correct store however I know now from this experience Coast Appliances is definitely a place that I’m confident will take excellent care of you.

I will never buy anything else from this place & am regretting choosing this place at the first place. By the way, my bad experience only applies to sales part & 2 people who delivered the appliance were amazing.Our laundry machine was supposed to be delivered by Saturday. Nobody called until Saturday so I called first thing in the morning to follow up. Coast Appliance took forever to even locate my transaction/account. After 10 mins on the phone, they finally admitted they somehow screwed up & my transaction is still "unconfirmed" & blamed the new computer system. So I wonder, if I didn't follow up, would they just forget about my sales? They also never warned me that I had to buy water hoses seperately; even delivery guys found it weird... if sales person informed me about this, I would have bought it altogether which would saved another trip to Canadian Tires. Sales person was quite unprofessional over the phone as well.

Gordon Howie,It had been over 3 months and not one person has come out from Coast Appliances to fix the $12,098.00 SubZero Wine Fridge that was Installed Improperly.Jim Pepe & Wayne Wanamaker have promised and assured multiple times they would take care of it over the last three months they have done "NOTHING"!!!!We spent $58,082.00 with Coast Appliances and your Company won't even follow up.Thank You for the Horrible Customer Service after the Sale.

Bought a washer and dryer from Coast, they had sent us a default one and dont want to be held responsible for it. We are now stuck with that machine, and "John Hsu" the sales person who had sold it to us. Is just directing us to Whirlpool, and Whirlpool is saying its on warrenty. We had paid full price for a brand new machine, not one that is broken within 5 times after using it. We felt like we have been scammed, and they had sent us a default machine. So if you are planning to purchase something from them, make sure you test it on the spot. Or else they will not hold responsible for it and would brush you off.

I bought new samsung dryer from salesperson Mike Reeves on Feb 18. This dryer deliveried on Feb 21 and this dryer was broken. This dryer couldn't stop to work and need long time to dry clothes. I called Mike Reeves who didn't pick up phone. I tried call him agian and he said he will send request for third company to fix my dryer. But until now my dryer still is not fixed, please this is new dryer why i should fix it rather than changing new one for me. I am very very upset for coast appliance.

Nice shop, but the sales people...I got a guy that was really slow. It is a really old fashion type of sales management method, where the second you get in, a salesman gets you, and you are "his".Hard to change as they won't compete with each other and also, it is not cool to do so.So when you get in, make sure you take your time choosing your salesman/woman.

Worst company I've ever had to deal with! They didn't want to deliver us after saying it's included, we had to wait for 3 weeks and to pay extra for delivery which was available only 6 days after scheduled. We tried to talk to the manager who called us liars because we didn't get any of his phone calls. And then said now we re not delivering your wash machine at all. I will never buy a thing in this store.

This was our easiest major purchase yet! Selection was equal to the Trail clearance centre but prices were significantly lower. Our salesman Michael was knowledgeable, efficient and not 'schmoosie'. We purchased on Sunday and delivery/install was on-time and quick on Tuesday. I'd been dreading the hassle of dryer shopping but Coast made it painless, thank you!

Bought stove in dec 2013 with 5 year extended warranty called may 2017 and they flat out refuse to provide any service. Oddly they have no problem charging for the extended warranty. If you value your hard earned money you may want to consider any other option and there are obviously plenty of them out there for buying appliances. It would also appear that there are many others that have posted negative reviews of this company yet I don't see any response by to any of these complaints on any social media.I think any sane individual can agree that if they can't even reply to any of these complaints that they certainly don't value any of this business.

During our house reno we decided all new stainless appliances from Coast in Langley.I was interested in good quality at a sale price. So a pleasant salesman directed us to purchase 3 Electrolux appliances using made in Canada as a hook.Then went for a big up sell on extended warranty which I had never bought in the past so did not go for it...big mistake. The stove died at 14 months as well as the dishwasher (adjustable rack and wheels fell off the bottom and door seal began to leak). During the fridge install the delivery lads came in thru a sliding glass door in the kitchen the heavy duty fridge hauler flattened the metal center that the sliding door rides on.They said Coast would deal with it.Coast said that we would have to go after the contractors to no avail. We were screwed but then so is Coast now as we will never purchase a thing from the schysters.

I had a few problems with Coast Appliances but they've made some effort to resolve the situation. The salesman gave me my best price ($537plus tax) on an 18 cu. ft. Frigidaire fridge plus $40 delivery and $20 to take away the old one However the one that was delivered wasn't the same one I paid for and thought I was getting. The one that was delivered had a couple of dings on one inner wall which were hidden by the vegetable trays until I took them out. As soon as it was plugged in, it made a buzzing noise which I certainly didn't like. It made the noise every time the compressor came on which was often. Next day I noticed a depression in the left outside wall which looked like it had been made made by the carrying strap. Neither side wall was perfectly flush actually. Two days later I made a trip back to Coast Appliances with my photos of the damaged areas and took a couple more pictures of the display fridge for comparison. The salesman seemed surprised and helpful. He said he would have someone from Totem Appliances get in touch with me. That took about a week and a couple more phone calls from me to remind them. Finally a service man from Totem came and took his own pictures of the damaged areas. He called it Cosmetic Damage but didn't notice the noise. That was on a Wednesday. He said that someone from Coast would get back to me by the end of the week. That didn't happen and so on the following Monday, I phoned the salesman again. He hadn't heard from Totem Appliances and tried to tell me that the fridge sides warp a little when the insulation is poured in. He also said that he'd spoken to the manager and that he couldn't do anything for me. Then he referred me to Rosemary in Customer Service who would get back to me. This sounded to me like just a way to get rid of me. However I was quite surprised.It took a few days but Rosemary received the pictures from Totem Applances and was quite sympathetic to my situation. She arranged for an exchange fridge for me at no extra charge. The sides on it still aren't perfectly flat like my old one but it's running quieter so far and that's the main thing. I have my doubts that it will last 21 years like my old one (which I only replaced to try to save on my extortionist Hydro bill). I only took the one year warranty and I don't know if this fridge is as quiet as similar ones. Sooner or later, I'm sure I'll find out.

The delivery drivers (apparently not Coast staff) are terrible, they blocked a lane causing all sorts of grief to my neighbours instead of parking in a different space. The general demeanor of the driver was extremely poor. As mentioned, they aren't Coast staff but Coast did contract them out and should be aware of how poor they are.

Do not buy extend warranty from this store! We was persuaded to pay extra money for 5 years extend warranty for our stove. By third years my stove has problem, they not repair the stove and gave us the reason that we misused and not know how to taking care of the stove??? terrible experience to learn the lesson.

I purchased a refrigerator from Coast in Vancouver and paid for them to deliver and install. They damaged the flooring, door and hallway rather than negotiating a few stairs leading to a larger and closer entrance. The water and ice maker did not work so Coast sent out a repairman. He could find nothing wrong and therefore left without fixing the problem. Coast refused to pay for the repair call as the repairman found nothing wrong. A friend quickly found that the water had not been connected. Coast had charged me an additional amount to send the installers along with the delivery team. They refused to refund the additional charge when I advised them that the installers had not completed the installation. Their attitude was that I now had it working so I had nothing to complain about.Stupidly, I bought another refrigerator from them. They convinced me to purchase a one-year warranty. My credit card doubled the warranty protection to two years. At two years and three months, the compressor failed and the fridge quickly warmed up spoiling all of the refrigerated and frozen foods. They insisted on sending out their repairman and charged me $86 to have the repairman tell me that he had a large number of the exact same refrigerator in his shop and they could not be repaired. He complained that he kept telling Coast not to sell this model but they continued to do so. They offered no assistance with contacting the manufacturer as the manager did not return phone calls

We got a fantastic deal on a washer/dryer stacker... The salesman was a little cocky but nonetheless, helpful. I suppose that if you need your hand held and can't make any logical decisions for yourself then you may want to go elsewhere. If you simply want a good price, start your search here.
